Now that the long-awaited nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come and gone, the world is left with a void in their appetite for Royal news. Never fear! We have another Royal wedding on the horizon and the time is right for turning our attention to the date of October 12, 2018. That is when Princess Eugenie of York will wed her longtime boyfriend (and now fiancé) Jack Brooksbank.
And although the wedding venue will be the same as that of her cousin Prince Harry, there will be some very notable differences. When Princess Eugenie walks down the aisle of St. George’s Chapel on the arm of her father, Prince Andrew, the world will once again be in “Royal Wedding Heaven.”
One challenge the bride-to-be will have on her plate is the task of setting her celebration apart from that of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex - giving it an identity of its own, rather than simply being “Harry and Meghan 2.0.”
One detail that will definitely be different for Eugenie is the inclusion of a maid of honor in her wedding party, something that Meghan Markle declined to do. Unlike Meghan, though, Eugenie has a sister to whom she has always been extremely close. So, the decision to include her in this position of honor was likely an easy one.
And like the Duchess of Cambridge before her (who had sister Pippa Middleton as her maid of honor) Eugenie is said to be determined to have her BFF/sister Beatrice standing up with her on her big day.
With the royal event less than five months away, it's not a minute too soon to start looking for the details to start coming out. And, before you know it, we will have the utter joy and pleasure of witnessing yet another romantic display of regal proportions, and all the pomp and circumstance that goes along with it.
Best of all, however, will be the opportunity to see our favorite Brits, front and center, once again. I'm talking about, of course, the Royal Family . . . every last one of them!! October can't get here soon enough. Don't you agree?
