Senior Lab Was Trapped In An Irrigation Box For Days Until Rescuers Stepped In To Save Her Life

February 21, 2018

When Zita wandered away from her family in Nampa, Idaho, she quickly wound up lost. Her owners searched high and low for her worrying about their beloved senior lab. She had been missing for a week when her owners finally were reunited with their beloved pup.

When Zita had meandered away, she soon found herself trapped inside of an irrigation box, and wasn’t sure how to get out. She began to whine and cry, hoping that someone would hear her and come save her. Luckily for her, her cries were answered by two girls who lived in the nearby house.

After spotting Zita, they immediately called animal control and waited anxiously for Zita to be freed. Once animal control arrived, they knew that they would need help and so they had to wait again for the fire department. When the ladder was lowered in, Zita tried climbing out herself because she was so anxious to be free. Within a few days, she was back home and safe, just in time for Christmas.
