The royal wedding is draw closer every day, and so new information is being released every day! With the recent delivery of royal wedding invites, we have been gathering new details, and it seems that some rather unexpected information has been discovered within the pages! Of the 2,640 members of the public who will be attending the wedding, it seems that many of them will not be able to bring a plus one!
The wedding will take place at St. George’s Chapel, which apparently has quite the seating restraint situation! In order to invite everyone who needs to be there, the couple have had to be picky with who they invited, meaning that they have even had to go so far as to only specifically exclude spouses, fiancés and live-in significant others, which certainly goes against wedding etiquette.
Some of the invitations specifically stated “for a Mrs. without her Mr.” while others were addressed to specific couples. According to etiquette experts, it’s likely that the people who did not receive a plus one were business associates as they do not have the close enough relationship to warrant a plus one.
Another thing specified on the invites is that the invites are only for the ceremony and afternoon reception, not the smaller evening reception. Whatever the invite says, we’re sure that anyone lucky enough to receive one is quite excited about the upcoming nuptials.
