Singing Sensation Marries High School Sweetheart In Real-Life Fairytale Wedding, And It's Everything You Could Hope For And More

June 18, 2018

After having been together for over six years, and having known one another since kindergarten, season ten American Idol Champ Scotty McCreery wed his fiancée Gabi Dugal in their home state of North Carolina.

The ceremony was everything you’d expect it to be - The bride wore a Morilee gown and looked stunning as she walked down the aisle to meet her beloved Scotty. Her bouquet was a mixture of assorted greenery and beautiful white flowers.

The couple said “I do” in front of McCreery’s childhood pastor, and his father served as his best man.

Scotty McCreery rose to fame while competing in the iconic program American Idol and clinched the win on May 25, 2011. The country-crooner was only 17 years old when he edged out 16-year-old Lauren Alaina in an all-country finale. His victory was followed by the meteoric success of his first album, ‘Clear as Day,’ going platinum in the United States.

McCreery's hit single, ‘This Is It ‘ was written for his Gabi in honor of their engagement and was released this Spring. CNN reports, "The song is about their relationship and his proposal which he pulled off in a secluded spot on Grandfather Mountain about 200 miles northwest of Garner, a Raleigh suburb."

The new Mrs. McCreery is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and works as a pediatric nurse at Duke University Hospital. The newlyweds will leave on a trip to Tahiti later this week.

Please join us in wishing the young couple all the best as they start their lives together as husband and wife!
