When Meghan Markle said “yes” to her real-life Prince Charming, she was fully aware that life, as she knew it, would forever be changed. The 36-year-old American actress never imagined she would grow up and marry a Prince.
Her goals and dreams were to become a successful actress and to use her platform to empower young women. Little did she know that at just the right time, her “Mr. Right” would come along and drastically alter the trajectory of her life.
Once news broke announcing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement, the wedding planning was in full swing. She knew she had a lot to do with not a lot of time to do it. May 19th will be here before we know it and she has quite a bit of things to align before the day arrives.
Not only is she busily planning one of the biggest weddings of the year, but she’s also learning a whole new lifestyle: how to be a Royal. This is quite easier said than done. She has many things to learn as far as the Royal Protocols by which she must abide, how to make appearances, her new royal duties, and much more.
She’s taken everything in stride and made the transition appear to be seamless. There has been one thing that she has struggled with giving up, and it’s one in which we can all relate. Meghan had a blog called The Tig, where she used as a platform to share her thoughts, ideas, and could collaborate in creating content with other inspiring females.
According to sources, “Meghan’s finding getting used to the new life a little tough. She’s always been a free spirit, and when she felt strongly about something or just playful, she could tweet it or use her blog (The Tig).” She has since shut down her blog and deleted her social media platforms.
Becoming the bride of a British Royal will give her an even more enormous platform than she ever had. Getting married is a big enough transition in itself, let alone changing your lifestyle completely. All we know is that she’s doing a fantastic job and will make a perfect addition to the family. We can’t wait for the wedding!
