Everyone deserves a second chance, and no one knows that more than BenBen the cat. BenBen is a beautiful ginger tabby cat who was a resident at an animal shelter, who was running out of time to find a home. BenBen had suffered greatly before coming to the shelter, and staff believed he had been attacked by a large animal. He had a crushed spine, cauliflower ear, and several deep lacerations.
The most noticeable thing about BenBen though, is his sad frowning face. He has loose extra skin on his face that gives him the appearance of always frowning. He wasn’t really a sad cat, instead he was a horribly sweet cat who only wanted to be loved. Sadly, no one wanted to adopt this depressed looking little feline and he was scheduled to be euthanized.
Shelter staff said it appeared he knew his end was coming, as he stopped eating drinking or even moving. When he was a mere day from being euthanised, he was saved by a woman who works for an ER Vet Clinic who had heard about this sweet boy. Within an hour of being home, this sweet boy began to purr and curl up with his new family - as if to thank them for saving him. BenBen began to walk run and jump small distances, even though the vets originally didn’t think he would ever walk again!
